They’ll get a chance to steady themselves against Burnley, though, and working out their problems against a team hovering just five points above the relegation zone could be just what Jose Mourinho and company needed right now.

Manchester United just took a bitter injury blow after their Europa League match with Anderlecht on Thursday: both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo suffered serious knee injuries that will cost them the remainder of this season and likely much of the early part of next season as well. That on top of already losing Juan Mata for the season, plus being without Chris Smalling and Phil Jones for a spell, leaves Manchester’s depth starting to look perilously thin.

The injury to Ibrahimovic does create one interesting opportunity, though — it creates a bigger opening for Marcus Rashford to impress for the rest of the season. Something of a divisive young player, Rashford exploded onto the scene with a hot goalscoring run a year ago, but his scoring touch has been a bit cooler this year. Some feel Rashford has developed significantly as an overall player, though, and getting a spell of sustained play as the team’s main scoring threat for the rest of the season could give the 19 year old a chance to show just how much he’s really improved.

Match info, plus how to watch on TV and stream

Match Date/Time: Sunday, 9:15 a.m. ET, 2:15 p.m. local

Venue: Turf Moor, Burnley, England

TV: NBCSN (U.S. - English), Telemundo (U.S. - Spanish),

Online: NBC Sports Live (U.S.)

Make friends: Check out The Busby Babe for more Manchester United coverage.

Listings for more countries can be found at LiveSoccerTV.
